Small businesses require strong representation at all levels of Government, as well as to other organisations whose policies and actions affect small businesses.
At the Council of Small Business, our strength is in our numbers. The more organisations that are working together to promote the interests of small business, the better chance we’ll have of solidifying the position of small business to influence public and commercial policies.
So, whether it is input on legislation or regulations, influence on policy decisions, attendance at committees and meetings at the highest levels, or having a potent voice in the media – COSBOA does it all. What’s more, we’ll keep you updated on the latest developments that will affect your business through our e-newsletter.

Other categories
(i) Small business member (includes sole trader, independent contractor)
Individual small businesses, including sole traders, partnerships and trusts, are entitled to directly join COSBOA. They have access to all of the full member benefits except they can neither nominate to be a Director of the Board, nor can they exercise a vote at meetings.
Direct small business members of COSBOA may be eligible to represent COSBOA on certain boards and committees if the Board sees fit to delegate this role to an individual member. In this case, the small business member is subject to the same responsibilities to COSBOA as a Board member would be, and is required to provide written reports to the organization after each meeting.
(ii) Small business supporter
This category is open to corporate supporters, education institutions, Government, and other not for profit organisations, and provides information and access to all COSBOA events.
