Small Business Summit Draws a Crowd
COSBOA is delighted that over 540 people converged on Brisbane from all over the country to provide input and hear what the government had to say. The Summit was attended by the Prime Minister, Minister for Small Business, Treasurer, and Minister for Superannuation and Corporate Law.
Acting COSBOA Chair Richard Brooks said “The summit was well attended by small business from all over the country and the message was clear – maintain open and honest communication and work towards bringing stability to the financial sector.”
COSBOA was a key player in the summit, which intended to address the issues facing small business during the current financial turmoil.

With more than 1.88 million small businesses in Australia employing 3.6 million people and with a total capitalised worth of $4.3 trillion, 4 times that of the Australian stock exchange, small business is a very important sector of the Australian economy.
